  • ‘New Shapes’ is BAD NERVES’ fourth single this year.
  • The band’s debut album is due out on the 20th of November.
  • FFO: Nai Harvest, Calva Louise & FIDLAR.

Following their previous release ‘Palace’, ‘New Shapes’ is the latest single from East London five-piece BAD NERVES. The track is in the same vein as the band’s other releases: angry, energetic and made for screaming along to.

Clocking in at just one minute and forty-five seconds, ‘New Shapes’ is the musical equivalent of a punch in the face. BAD NERVES waste no time, diving straight into the track and taking the listener on a whirlwind ride for the next two minutes. The tempo is reminiscent of an 80’s punk track and the DIY attitude of the era is still alive through BAD NERVES. Talking about their new album, it’s clear the band embody ‘Do It Yourself’: “It was self-produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by long-term friends. I make all our videos. It really is a labour of love and we’re proud to be one of many bands working shit out on their own.”

This community mindset resonates with the band’s fans too. Festival appearances, support slots and headline shows have given the band an impressive following and with good reason. When live music is back on the cards, BAD NERVES need to be on everyone’s list to see. Their self-titled album is out on the 20th of November via Killing Moon Records.
