Having signed to the Wirral’s very own Skeleton Key Records, the independent label co-founded by The Coral frontman James Skelly, along with Neville Skelly and brother Ian. The Peach Fuzz are the latest in a list of exciting artists to emerge from the label that currently boasts the likes of She Drew The Gun, Cabbage and The Sundowners.
Big things are predicted for the band and it’s easy to see why. From the psychedelic synth in the opening bars to the soaring guitar solo and driving bassline, ‘The Outside Looking In’ is reminiscent of The Cure favourite ‘Just Like Heaven’ but it is arguably catchier. The single is relentless in the best possible sense, surging to the chorus in under a minute and never looking back.
Fresh off the back of supporting The Zutons, the band are due to headline Liverpool’s Sound Food & Drink on Friday 17 May. In addition to this, with dates announced at Manchester’s Night & Day in June, Liverpool International Music Festival in July and even Skeleton Coast Festival in August, there’s no excuse not to catch the lads before they hit the big time.
